The Interior of Cunerakerk Rhenen
by
Bartholomeus Van Bassen
1638
Alteration 1.
It was originally an old chamber like feeling with people walking around and insignia hangs on mostly every column. Viewers receive story through these people and elements, in order to completely change the perspectives through this painting, i use method of eliminating elements which would effect the experiences of the receivers as effectives as possible. Here's i introduce a time warp space from a hundred years of history chamber into refinished modern feeling of gallery hallway.

Original Painting & Diagrammatic reading
I suddenly perceive the focus point where it leads my eyes to the end of the corridor at the center of this painting. A hidden space behinds this chamber become greatly important due to the act of people. Hence the indicators become an important part of my analysis through this painting where i interpret the space by focusing on each elements that has been decorated in a space.

Interior of the Great Hall on the Binnenhof in The Hague.

Alteration 1.
Following from Previous painting of Bassen, this one share a similarity where the indicator of its story play a very strong part in this painting. Without heraldry on the flags, no painting on the wall, no people assembly in a hall, has turn the quality of this space upside down. No activities are no longer existed, yet it gives a hint of what was happen before or what is it hidden behind the curtain flags wall.

Original Painting & Diagrammatic reading
This painting is obviously showing a cut and paste line at the edge between painting and essembly, which is the intentionally done by artist himself for this painting to be able to change its activity and context. I took this as an special method where i play with the scene that people acts in a space. I analyze through the act of people, dogs, a cup of coffee on a table, heraldry, that all of them would indicates stories that make up a whole painting.
